This comment has nothing to do with Chick-fil-A….but does anyone know how the phrase “Black Saturday” (in relation to ASU football) came to be? We had this discussion over lunch yesterday, and no one seemed to have an “official” answer. When I went to ASU, I thought ALL home game Saturdays were Black Saturday, because the fans wore black and the team wore their black jerseys. Perhaps I was mistaken…that could happen when one is focused more on her flag routine for the halftime show (I know, Marching Band geek). This week’s game with Furman is specifically noted as Black Saturday, so does it have something to do with the Paladins??? Who has the answer? :-)

I don’t know! But that is a very good question! I rarely went to the football games after my freshman year, but of course, they weren’t as good as they are now.
