Freebie Friday: Buckeye Lake Tennis Camp

There are just a few more weeks of summer left in Avery County.  Even less for Watauga or Ashe County kids.  But there is one more great summer camp offering this year!

August 4-8, RDU Tennis Camp will be at Buckeye Lake Recreation Center in Beech Mountain. The camp is led by Brian Rosenthal, USPTA Certified Tennis Professional and a USTA/ Southern Section Coach. He has coached Southern Zonals, National Zonals, and Davis Cup for NC Tennis. For more information, go to www.rdutennis.net. On the home page you will see a link for Buckeye Recreation Center on the right hand side.

How about ending your kids’ summer with a slam? Brian has given us the opportunity to send one child to Tennis Camp for free! Watauga and Ashe kids, you can enter, too.  Brian said it’s OK to attend just for the first couple of days.  You will need your own racket, and some sneakers.

My daughter would love to go to this camp! She’s been taking tennis at Wat.Co. Park and Rec this summer and had to miss a lot of them. But we’ll be here that whole week!

It would be great to win. It sounds amazing!
