I agree that shopping for something unique here can be truly difficult! One place I have found that has some great pieces is Lucky Penny in Boone. Much of what they carry is for a younger crowd, but every once in a while, I find the perfect jacket or top to spice up the wardrobe a bit - and it's nowhere near as expensive as some of the boutiques around!
