Appalachian Summer Festival is in full swing in the High Country. This weekend is filled with excitement for the entire family. Please make plans to attend one or both events.

Family Fun Day

The Turchin Center invites families to a fun-filled day of arts and crafts designed to make the arts fun for children of all ages. Join us in honoring 10 years of Turchin with face painting, temporary tattoos, chalk murals and activities all centered on celebrating the past 10 years of outreach at the Turchin Center!

The EMF Young Artists Orchestra: Peter and the Wolf

Time: 4:00pm
Location: Rosen Concert Hall

The Eastern Music Festival’s Young Artists Orchestra will be at the Rosen Concert Hall performing Peter and the Wolf at 4pm. This is a really special treat for young children because its a fun interactive way to introduce them to the different instruments in an orchestra…and its all performed by young people!

Tickets are only $5 for each person and the show lasts about 45 minutes long…the perfect length for kids to sit still and be entertained!
