My sister -in-law, Laura, made me a homemade chocolate cake with her homemade peanut butter icing one year for my birthday. I'll never forget her sweetness and thoughtfulness in making a cake with my 2 favorite foodS! That birthday was really a tough one due to the passing of my son and grandmother, and her reaching out with that cake literally made it all better on that birthday. I don't think I shared much of that cake, and I remember eating it right off of the cake platter. I didn't even want to waste time with plates! So, to the creators of the delicious comfort foods at The Sweetie Pie, here's to you and the Laura's of the world who make life a little sweeter, and a little easier to swallow!
