The hikes range in length from 1.6 miles to 2 miles and take place on the mountain’s designated trails. Each session is led by a guide who is familiar with the trail, as well as the foliage and fauna unique to Beech Mountain.
The next hike is set for Friday, Nov. 27, on the Wild Iris Trail. After that, the remaining hikes take place on Tuesdays,
including:
- Dec. 1 (Grass Gap Creek Trail)
- Dec. 29 (Shawneehaw Overlook Trail)
- Jan. 5 (Red Fox/Arrowhead Loop Trail)
- Feb. 2 (Sassafras Trail)
- March 2 (Smoketree Trail)
Each hike begins promptly at 9 a.m. and there is no cost to participate. Hikers are required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and dogs are not
allowed.
