The nation’s oldest Revolutionary War drama opens this weekend. Loved by young and old, the Horn in the West drama is located right here in the heart of Boone, North Carolina. It is one of the most beautiful outdoor theatres in the country. This adventure, from our nation’s heritage, has offered thrilling outdoor entertainment to generations of Americans since it premiered in 1952.
The drama highlights those settlers who came to the Blue Ridge Mountains seeking freedom and escape from British tyranny. Dr Geoffrey Stuart, a prominent British physician, comes to the Colony of Carolina to study the dreaded disease smallpox, bringing his wife, Martha, and their teenage son, Jack.
This weekend, the admission will be $8 for Watauga Residents. For more information and to order tickets, visit Horn in the West. Let’s make this the biggest opening weekend ever!
