Sculpture and Pottery Classes for Kids

ASU Department of Technology and the Watauga Arts Council present the Craft Enrichment Program for kids age 10-15.   The class is located at Katherine Harper Hall on River Street in Boone.  This class focuses on tiles, sculptural forms and pottery.

Designed for learning clay skills that leave room for active imaginations, you will be making fun projects using both the potters wheel and hand-building techniques.  Come if you have never touched clay or if you have some experience.  Dress for a mess!

Tara Belk is a local artist who loves teaching and encouraging creativity in others.She does a great job with kids in this class- many folks have repeated several times. I actually worked with Tara in a program called “The Master’s Academy of Fine Arts,” integrating the arts with History!  She is really terrific.  Course fee includes clay, glazing and firing fees.
