Watauga Arts Council is now offering a new line of classes here at the Jones House (downtown Boone).  In addition to the Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) Program, held Thursday nights, they will offer a Video Production Class and an Improvisational Acting Class.

Video 4 Kids will meet on Saturdays (9-10:30am for Ages 12-18; and 10:30 – noon for Ages 9-11) from September 20 – October 25, 2008.  Students will be taught about camera parts and use, storyboarding, script writing, scene creating, production terminology and editing!  Instructor, Kenisha Sullivan is an experienced Camera Operator and has worked in broadcasting in Raleigh and Atlanta.  The cost of the entire six week course is $75.

Improvisational Acting Classes will be held on Tuesday nights from October 7 – November 4, 2008. Your students will remember Mr. Tom Lanno – our instructor – from Summer Arts Camp!  Tom is a certified theatre teacher and a professional acting coach – one of our Summer Arts Camp favorites.  This class is open to students ages 14 and up and the cost for the five-week course is $50.
