Total-Solar-Eclipse

Watauga County K-8 schools will extend the school day by 15 minutes on August 21 to allow for parents and students to view the upcoming solar eclipse. K-8 Schools will dismiss at 2:45 p.m. Parents are invited to join students at each school to view the eclipse. If you’d like to bring your own viewing glasses, please do so. Some glasses will also be provided at each school.

If you have questions regarding the specific eclipse plan at your school, please contact the principal for more information.
