Grandfather Mountain Highland Games starts Thursday, July 9th and runs through Sunday, July 12th.  Most of the events take place in MacRae Meadows, but parking is a “bear” (he he) and you need to be sure to plan in advance what time to get there to allow for time to ride the shuttle and hike in before the events that you plan to enjoy!
