OCT 18-19, Woolly Worm Festival
10 AM to 5 PM in Downtown Banner Elk. In addition to cash prices for woolly worm races, there’ll be crafts, food, games, music–fun for the whole family. www.woollyworm.com

Author Chris McCurry will be there signing copies of her book, ‘Bark House Style: Sustainable Designs from Nature,’ and she will be donating proceeds from the sales of her book to the Blowing Rock School. They will also be raffling off many items donated by local businesses, and all the money from the raffle and silent auction will go to the school. The school is on Morris St, just off Main St in downtown . We’ll be there all day!and sale; BR Fire department with fire truck and Sparky the dog; BR Police Dept; food from Knights on Main, ,
