April Weekend Events: The 3 S’s of Spring! 04/08-10

I am so ready for Spring, aren’t you? I still can’t quite believe that we had all 4 seasons, you know…rain, lightening and thunder, hail, sleet, and snow in one day recently. Crazy weather up here in Boone! But alas, I think we might really be getting Spring!

As baseball season is just getting started, and my son broke his finger last night at a scrimmage game, right before his 1st game this weekend…UGH!, I have been out and about a little more often and have been noticing around town some wonderful things. It’s kinda funny, the moment it gets just a little warm, the flip-flops and shorts come out! They might even be worn with hoodies and sweaters, but those toesies have a way of showing themselves.

For me, I just like to practice my 3 S’s of Spring! Can you guess what they are? Ok, ok, I’ll not keep it a secret any longer, haha! It is taking in all of the tantalizing aromatic SMELLS of Spring like the daffodils that are blooming. Then we have the melodic SOUNDS of Spring with beautiful birds chirping their songs. And 3rd we have a virtual visual smorgasbord of SIGHTS to take in all around the High Country such as the grass is so much greener, and trees are budding. Ah, Spring! It’s a beautiful thing!

This weekend has great opportunities to get out and have some FUN! Tell us how you’re planning on spending your weekend!
