BeanStalk Theatre Presents “Night at the Wax Museum”

Watauga County’s ONLY community theatre program dedicated to providing quality theatre for and by children and their families presents “Night at the Wax Museum” July 26 and 27 at 7:00 pm and July 27 at 2:00 pm at ASU’s Valborg Theatre, Boone, NC.

The entire cast has been rehearsing all summer for this spectacular event. Amy Beane serves as the director and presents huge talent to the stage. All the kids are gaining so many skills from Amy and her production team. The play features historical characters (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, John Adams, Blackbeard, King Henry VIII, Cleopatra and several more coming to life right before the actors’ eyes.

The hysterical meets the historical in this comic romp through the wackiest wax museum in history! School’s out for summer, but not for six unlucky students who don’t know much about history — they have to re-take the class in summer school. First year teacher Heather Fairchild has arranged for them to help her two aunts set up a new wax museum as a class project. Though the students’ eyes glaze over with boredom, there’s a twinkle in the wax figures’ eyes when a mysterious incantation from the back of Cleopatra’s bracelet brings them to life!

The cast includes 39 children and adults. Dancing and clogging will be part of the show.

The show will have you laughing on several occasions. It is a very family-friendly show. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students 12 and under. Come out and see the local talent of adults and children of the high country and support community theatre.
