Blazing Easels Workshop Fall Registration is Open

Turchin Center’s Blazing Easels Workshop

Appalachian State’s Turchin Center for the Visual Arts announces fall registration for their Blazing Easels Workshop series. Classes begin September 6th.

Young artists will create art in a variety of mediums including collage, painting, drawing and three-dimensional art using found objects. Participants will explore line, shape, color, texture, value, space and form in a relaxed, inviting small group setting.

Classes are led by Appalachian State University art education majors, Sope Kahn and Emily Hamm, and supervised by Christy Chenausky, Director of Arts Education and Outreach at the Turchin Center.

Location: TCVA Room 3200 (The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts is located at 423 West King Street in the heart of downtown Boone.)

Audience: Ages 7 – 12

Cost: $24 per month, $60 for 12 sessions; Class size is limited to 15.

Pre-registration is required. Payment is due at registration and may be completed over the phone (828-262-3017) with a credit card or at the front desk prior to the workshop. We are no longer accepting payment in the classroom.
