Dora the Explorer and Diego visit Tweetsie Railroad

The stars of hit nickelodeon shows return to Tweetsie Railroad on June 21-23.


Listen up, all you Dora and Diego fans: don’t miss the chance to meet Dora the Explorer™ and Go, Diego, Go!™ at Tweetsie Railroad on June 21-23, 2013. The Nickelodeon costumed characters will appear daily, and will be available to interact and take photos with fans at the park throughout the weekend.

Dora is a seven-year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests. Diego Marquez, Dora’s cousin, is an eight-year-old animal rescuer and nature expert that uses scientific thinking and investigative strategies to help animals in trouble. Dora and Diego explore their world just as preschoolers do everyday, and their television shows actively engage children using a variety of learning techniques. In addition, daily appearances are at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Afterward, the characters will be available for pictures with guests.

This year marks Dora the Explorer’s tenth anniversary, which Nickelodeon will celebrate throughout the year with “Beyond the Backpack” – a multiplatform pro-social campaign that champions overall school readiness for preschoolers.
