Buckeye’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Downtown Boone Easter Egg-Stravaganza

When: Saturday, March 27, 2010 1:00 pm

Where: Watauga County Library.

Description: Puppet Shows, and arts & crafts at the library until 2:15 pm.  Easter Parade to the Jones House Community Center for the Easter Egg Hunt at 2:30pm. Children up to  10 can  hunt for candy filled eggs, and “golden eggs” that can be traded for a prize given by area merchants.

Appalachian Ski Mountain Easter Extravaganza

When: Saturday, April 3

Where: Appalachian Ski Mtn.

Description: Bring your camera and join the Easter Bunny for pictures on the slopes, two children’s Easter Egg Hunts with lots of hidden prizes including a 2010-11 Junior Season Membership, and a special Easter Brunch. Appalachian’s Intermediate slope Strudel beginning at 9:30 am, for skiers and riders ages 6-12. After the on-slope Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30 am, children ages 5 and under can find Easter Eggs on the grassy knoll beside the Appalachian Ice Arena. A raw egg toss contest will begin at 2:00 pm, for participants 12 and older (prizes for longest toss and biggest splash).

Easter Egg Hunt on Sugar Mountain

When: Sunday, March 21 9:00 AM

Where: Sugar Mountain Ski Slopes

Description: Hundreds of fun-filled plastic eggs will be spread across the lower portion of the Lower Flying Mile slope. One lucky child will find a “golden” egg containing a 2010-2011 season pass. Meanwhile, there will be 10 eggs containing complimentary midweek lift/slope vouchers for 2010-11, and five eggs containing complimentary anytime lift/slope vouchers for 2010-11. Open to children 12 and under who have a valid slope pass on March 21.
