Santa, hot chocolate, carols, and music! Entertainment in the park and family fun all afternoon. Free!

Free hot chocolate and cider are available from 4 to 7pm. All events take place in Memorial Park, right on Main Street in downtown Blowing Rock. More lights than ever this year!

Free Parking is available on Maple Street and on the parking decks by the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum and the American Legion, both on Wallingford Street. All three public lots are just one block from Main Street.

2-7pm Hayrides through Blowing Rock

Boone Tree Lighting
December 7, 2018

Join in for the annual lighting of the Jones House Christmas Tree! This annual event kicks off at 5:45 PM with performances by the Watauga High School Honors Choir and Women’s Chamber and a tour of the Mazie Jones Gallery.

At 6:30 PM, officially start the holiday season by lighting the Christmas tree on the Jones House lawn with the help of the Appalachian State University Sustainable Energy Society. Then enjoy live music with the annual singer-songwriter presentation by Split-Rail Records at 6:45 in the Jones House.

Santa & his helpers make a special trip to Beech Mountain every year before Christmas to spread good cheer – and cookies & cocoa! Join us at the 4 Seasons at Beech hotel for a visit and photo opportunity with ol’ Saint Nick. This event is free to attend, and complimentary cookies & hot chocolate will be served.
