Let’s Celebrate Easter: 2019 High Country Family Easter Events

Can you believe Easter is soon? There are lots of fun family events in and around the High Country. Check out the great events! If you have an Easter event that you would like added, please contact us.

April 13: Easter Egg Festival & Hunt at Memorial Park in Blowing Rock 

Annual fun for kids & families! Games & Activities, Petting Zoo, Face Painting start at 10:00am. Egg hunt is at 11:00am.

April 13: Easter Egg Hunt in Banner Elk –

A great family event that takes place the Saturday eight days prior to Easter in Banner Elk’s Tate-Evans Park.

From 11 a.m. to noon, find the bunny and make S’mores. Egg hunts kick off with 0 to 4 year olds from noon to 12:15 p.m., followed by 5 to 8 year olds from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m. and 9 to 12 year olds from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

Activities continue with bunny stories and face painting at the Book Exchange from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and the day concludes with Easter egg coloring at the Banner Elk Cafe from 3 to 4 p.m.

April 13: The Annual Downtown Boone Easter Eggstravaganza 

Watauga County Library (2:00 pm): There will be egg hunts that will start at 2pm, along with crafts, face painting, Twist the Balloon man and snacks! In addition to the egg hunts and activities at the Watauga County Public Library there will also be an scavenger hunt for downtown! Plan to pick up your card at the library and see if you can complete the hunt! Prizes will be given for completed cards when they are dropped off at the library!

April 20: Beech Mountain’s Hoppy Easter Party

Join Beech Mountain for an Egg-straordinary Party & Easter Egg Hunt at the Buckeye Recreation Center on Saturday, April 20th. From 10:00 am – 12:00 pm the whole family will enjoy breakfast, games & activities. This event is geared toward families with children 12 & under. Call the Rec.
