Move over Tonka and Matchbox…There’s a new Toy Maker in town! Times Past Toys, a locally owned business, is here to stay and bringing happiness to kids and adults of all ages with the nostalgic feel of durable, hand-crafted and hand-painted toys and products.

Terry and Keri Hamrick and their family have been in the High Country for 8 years, but have really concentrated on their Toy business for the past year. Several local businesses carry their products and a Tag attached to their Toys tells their story, endearing themselves to their customers. This is what it states:

“The Story Of Times Past Toys – Born out of vision over 20 years ago, we began designing and making toys, birdhouses, and other decorative items. Continuing to utilize God-given talent and ability, we create a unique, one-of-a-kind, kid friendly, hand-painted or stained product in hopes of bringing enjoyment for many years to come. Made in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, our promise to you is to “Create Yesteryear’s Products for Today’s Smiles”.

Along with selling toys, Terry makes Children’s Step Stools (such as a Puppy, Giraffe, and Turtle), Birdhouses, Baskets, Garden Stakes, and Yard Decorations, etc. Keri is in the process of getting her website going to promote her business called Heavenly Creations Decor, featuring Floral Arrangements, Wreaths, Decoupage Hat Boxes, and much more which can be seen currently on their website. New products and items are added often.

Each Season and Holiday, the Hamricks utilize their talents and giftings to create special and unique Gifts, Baskets, Flower arrangements and more.
