November Weekend Events:It’s a Kick-Off to Giving Thanks & Holiday Happenings 11/19-21/10

After this past week of reflecting on all that we are thankful for and what this year has meant to us in preparation for Thanksgiving Day, activities seem to have gone into high speed and full gear! All of a sudden, social networking sites seem to be in competition with who can spread the word of Black Friday sales the fastest, commercials on TV for Christmas are out, and even some of the radio stations and cable channels are playing music and movies.

Now, don’t get me wrong…I love the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday season! But…Where has all of the excitement and growing suspense of Christmas Day gone? And why does it seem that Thanksgiving  just gets tossed aside for the most part, except for the meal that is?

Well, for me and my family, and I hope you too, will choose to slow down a little and use this time to make it a Kick-Off to Giving Thanks for this past year, as well as, getting ready to enjoy all of the Holiday Happenings that this wonderful season has for us all!
