October Weekend Events: Happy Halloween! 10/29-31

Happy Halloween everybody! It’s hard to believe that it is time for Dressing Up, attending Masquerade Parties, Trick-or-Treating, Pumpkin Carving, and watching colorful Parades all over town!

Up here in the High Country, there is a plethora of activities going on, so I won’t waste any time and get right to it. Before I do however, the Boone Police Dept. has issued some tips to keep our kids safe this Halloween.

Trick-or-Treating Safety Tips for Kids:

  • Remind children to look both ways before crossing the street
  • Make sure your children carry a flashlight or have reflective tape on their costumes so they can be seen at night
  • Younger children should be accompanied by an adult or older, responsible sibling
  • Remind kids to not eat any treats until inspected by an adult
  • Remind kids not to enter a strange house or car
  • Be cautious at night if driving

For more information, call the Boone Town Hall at 828-268-6200.

So go on and have a great time. And, by all means…please be safe and have lots of fun with family and friends!
