Sensory-Friendly Film Showing of Hotel Transylvania 3

The cold air is moving in for the weekend. This calls for indoor movie time! Starting this evening, Hotel Transylvania 3 will be playing through Saturday night at Appalachian State University’s SuperCinema at I.G. Greer.

Films will be shown at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. each night. Admission is only $1.00 if tickets are purchased in advance or $2.00 if purchased at the door. You can buy advance tickets at the PSU Ticket Center located at the PSU Information Center (cash, App Express, & credit cards accepted). This is a great frugal family date night idea. Also, you can purchase a $6.00 reusable popcorn tub and bring it back for a $2.00 refill for any future movie.

A special sensory-friendly showing will be shown Saturday at 2:00 p.m.  This showing is specially designed to accommodate families with small children and/or special needs children who may have a difficult time attending regular theater showings.

In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting, the lighting will be dim upon entering the room and will remain that way throughout the film. To accommodate special diets, families can bring their own snacks. Audio will be played lower than at a traditional movie theater. Recognizing different movement and vocal needs, audience members can move around or talk during the film.
