Military Appreciation Free Dinner at Golden Corral

November 15, 2010 (5-9 PM) will mark the 10th anniversary of Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.

The free meal is a special “thank you tribute” to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to join us for Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.

American Flag BiltmoreLast year’s Military Appreciation Monday was a huge success, honoring over 335,000 veterans and active duty military with a free dinner buffet and beverage. All Golden Corral restaurants nationwide participated in this event and, together with guests, collected a record total of over $808,000 for the Disabled American Veterans organization, which will be used by state and local chapters to assist veterans.

To date, Golden Corral restaurants have provided over 2.5 million free meals and contributed over $4.1 million to the Disabled American Veterans organization.

It’s that time again!!  Time to get the family together, apply the black spots and head to Chick-Fil-A for Cow Appreciation Day!

On July 9, 2010, fully dress like a cow and go to Chick-Fil-A to receive a FREE chick-fil-a meal! Every person who comes in dressed like a cow will receive a free meal, including kids!

You can download a Costume Starter Kit here! Just print and cut it out to make your own costume!  Last year, our own local family, the Jobes, won the Facebook Photo Contest and received chick-fil-a meals for a year!

Chick-Fil-A Photo Contest

The Jobes made a great showing last year, and I have an idea that I think could be HUGE! But we need YOUR participation!  I would love to come together at Chick-Fil-A, all gussied up in our bovine best, and get a huge photo of High Country Cows!

So here’s the scoop!dress like cow

WHEN: Friday, July 9th at 10-11 AM

WHERE: Chick-Fil-A of Boone

WHAT: Dress like a cow, get a free meal, and we will take a group photo of all our little Moos (and big Moos, too). Let’s see if we can get the world record for the most people dressed like cows in one place.  Is there even such a record?

The photos submitted to the actual contest can only have up to 10 people in them, so we will also take smaller photos to officially submit.  But I can’t help but think we will get their attention withour photo of  minions of cattle.

Just because they love the Mom Squad, Chick-Fil-A of Boone has offered one person who attends our party a prize just for coming! We will have a random drawing at the Party.  You must attend to enter the drawing.

We also need creativity!  Give me your best creative ideas in the comments below, so our photo will be out of this world! (I know you know how to comment!!)

RSVP on FACEBOOK here, and let us know how many kids you’ll bring!
