App Ski Mountain – Join App Ski Mountain for New Year’s Eve and ring in 2018 in style! Fireworks, torchlight skiing and more! Moonlight ice skating from 10 pm to midnight. Festive Restaurant Specials also available from 9pm to midnight.


New Year’s Eve Family Night at Ski Resort – For families and younger revelers, Beech Mountain Resort offers “Family Night” in the Lodge from 7 p.m. to midnight, free of charge.

Kick off the evening with Beech Mountain BINGO, complete with tons of great prizes & fun for all ages. DJ Pete Welter will play fun party tunes to get everyone moving, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.

A special late night New Year’s Eve Late Night Ice Skate takes place from 10 p.m. to midnight. Everyone can enjoy a skate under the stars accompanied by festive music for just $15 per person.

This family-friendly evening caps off with a fantastic firework show at midnight to ring in 2018.

Sugar Mountain Resort – A New Year’s Eve celebration mountain style! The general public is invited, free of charge to an alpine torchlight parade at 11:45 p.m. and the fireworks show at midnight. A fee, as well reservations for the indoor festivities from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. featuring live music by The Johnson Brothers, are required and should be made by calling 828-898-4521 x261.

#DisneyParksLIVE: Watch New Year’s Eve Fireworks From Magic Kingdom Park – The fun begins at 11:45 p.m., when we’ll begin the countdown to 2018 with a special performance of “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks live from Magic Kingdom Park.

Netflix Countdown – This year, the video streaming service is offering countdowns featuring a variety of popular shows and characters: “All Hail King Julien,” “Trollhunters,” “True and the Rainbow Kingdom,” “Puffin Rock,” “Beat Bugs,” “Skylanders Academy,” “Word Party,” “Larva,” and “Pororo.”
