Horn in the West Opening Offers $2 Tickets for Watauga County Residents

Horn in the West

Are you looking for summer family fun this weekend? We have a great family frugal date night for you. This weekend marks the opening of the summer season of “Horn in the West.”

The High Country is very fortunate to be home of this premier outdoor drama. It is the nation’s third oldest outdoor drama. This will be the drama’s 65th consecutive season.

According to High Country Press, on opening night, Saturday, June 25, residents of Watauga County pay the same price as they did in 1952, the first season of Horn in the West. For just $2, residents can learn about and enjoy the history of Daniel Boone and the mountain settlers. Horn in the West asks that tickets for this are purchased in person to validate Watauga County residency.

The play will run Tuesday through Sunday, June 25 to Aug. 6 from 8-10 p.m. each night. It is located at 591 Horn in the West Drive at the Daniel Boone Amphitheatre. For ticket purchases and more information, call the box office at 828-264-2120 or visit www.horninthewest.com
