1. Beech Mountain Halloween Special

Join us for a spook-tacular Halloween Celebration on Friday, October 28th from 6-8 pm at the Buckeye Recreation Center! Prior to the fun-filled Activities, Games and, you guessed it, Haunted House during the party, there will be a candy buffet your kids will croon over! Get there early for Trail-or-Treat around the Walking Track at Buckeye Rec. from 5-6 pm, where local businesses will have gobs of sweet treats for all the ghouls & goblins stirring on Beech Mountain. Now just don’t forget to phone (828-387-3003) in and RSVP!

1. Bethel Elementary Fall Festival/Run – 10:00am-2:00pm: Wear your best costume and enjoy a fun 1.5 mile walk/run around Bethel Park. Adult run begins at 10 a.m. and the kids run will begin after. Inflatables, games, candy and lots of family fun for everyone! All proceeds go to Bethel School’s PTSO.

2. Blowing Rock Halloween Festival

When: 1:00pm-9:00pm
Where: Downtown Blowing Rock

All free and open to the public!

Bring the little goblins to the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum for some “creepy crafts” – -Halloween-themed, hands-on activities for the family! Free. Chestnut Drive. 2-3 pm.

Air walks in Memorial Park 3.-8:00 pm.

Games & a fun house in the Recreation Center for the kids! 3:00-5:30 pm.

Hay Rides through Blowing Rock with Tom: 4:00.-8:00 pm. (Meet in Memorial Park)

The Monster March: Line up at the American Legion at 5:30 pm; Parade at 5:45 pm.

Trick or Treat in Downtown Blowing Rock: 6:00 pm -until. (Look for the black and orange balloons)

Costume Contest: Sign up at the Recreation Center (the White Building by the Tennis Courts) by 6:45 pm); March begins at 7:00 pm.

Moonlight Scavenger hunt at Broyhill Lake- begins after the Costume Contest. Participate in teams (max: 3 per group, ages 6-13) Bring your flashlight!

4:00-4:30pm – Crafts and activities at the Library
4:30-4:45pm – Parade to the Jones House

3. Mount Vernon Fall Fest

Join in the fun at the Family Fall Festival October 31st from 5:30-8:00pm in the MVBC Gym and first floor!

There will be games, inflatables, food, prizes and TONS OF FUN.

This is a completely free community-wide event — so invite your friends!!

This is a safe, family friendly, alternative to Halloween so no scary costumes please!
