We celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 19th, but there are events all week that your family can attend. We will always remember him!

January 20 – 3:30pm at Watauga County Library: Art in the Afternoon * Open Table Craft * Build a Peace Chain in Honor of I Have a Dream Week

January 21 – 11:00am at Watauga County Library: “I Have a Dream People Paper Chains”, Story Hour, Watauga County Library, Queen Street, led by Elkland Art Center volunteers.

January 23 – 31st Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration: An Evening with Julian Bond.

January 24 – Young World Radio, “I Have a Dream” special, “What the dream means to us,” voices of community youth and their elders and music to commemorate the life and times of Dr. King, WATA (1450 AM) or WXIT (1200 AM), with Sam Tate.
