Annual Lighting of the Jones House Christmas Tree!

 

Join the Town of Boone for the annual lighting of the Jones House Christmas Tree!

This annual event kicks off with at 5:45 PM with performances by the Watauga High School Honors Choir and Women’s Chamber and a tour of the Mazie Jones Gallery.

At 6:30 PM, Boone will officially start the holiday season by lighting the Christmas tree on the Jones House lawn with the help of the Appalachian State University Sustainable Energy Society. Then enjoy live music with the annual singer-songwriter presentation by Split-Rail Records at 6:45 in the Jones House.

Continue the festivities on Saturday with the annual Christmas parade. The parade will travel down King Street with lots of treats and surprises for everyone. Santa and the Christmas elves may even make a special appearance! After the parade, head up to the Jones House to warm up with hot cider and cookies with Santa Claus from 12 – 4 PM.

The Town of Boone and the Jones House Cultural and Community Center are proud to announce that on March 17, 2018, they will host the inaugural St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

All members of the community are invited to join in as they turn Boone green for the day. Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Boone and be a part of a new tradition!

Time: 2:00-3:00pm
Where: The parade will travel down King Street.
