banner-ad-for-mom-squadThe Baby Fair will be a two-day event crammed with bargains, fun and great information for families. All activities will take place at The National Guard Armory, which is located on Hunting Hills Lane in Boone across from the Watauga County Swim Complex.

Bargain hunters will enjoy scooping up the incredible finds at the Early Bird Sale from 8:30-1:00 Friday March 27, while everyone should stop by Saturday March 28 from 8:30-1:00 for terrific information for parents from local nonprofits, pizza and baked goodies, and fun kid’s activities like baby and toddler races, games, and an airwalk. “We will also have bargain bags and half-price consignment from noon to one on Saturday,” promises organizer and Playhouse board member Jennefer Spell. Admission to the Early Bird Sale will be $5 per person while Saturday’s festivities will be free.

Saturday’s events will also include a clogging demonstration by Appalachian Rhythm and a Diaper Drive benefitting the Children’s Council of Watauga County. “When folks bring in packages of disposable diapers to donate to the Children’s Council’s needy clients, we will give them ‘Baby Fair Bucks’ which they can use to take money off their rummage purchases or even to visit The Playhouse,” explains Parham.

The Playhouse Baby Fair is sponsored Blue Ridge Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine,  Appalachian Regional Adult & Pediatric Medicine, Appalachian Regional Obstetrics & Gynecology,   Harmony Center for Women’s Health & Vitality,
Boone Drug, and Adult and Child Orthodontists and Pediatric Dentists Drs. Mayhew, Scheffler, Hardaway, and Conn. Media sponsors are Lamar Advertising, High Country Mom Squad, High Country Press, and The Mountain Times.

The Mom Squad will be at the Baby Fair, too,  so be sure to stop by our table!
