Turchin Center For the Visual Arts Offers Creative Kids Studio

This Saturday, let your children be inspired and create colorful memories at the Creative Kids Studio at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts! Students will learn new skills as they create sculpture, drawing and painting, using a wide variety of materials. As they design their very own unique creations, they will learn about craftsmanship, artistic styles, art history, the power of self-expression and expanding their self-confidence.

The instructor, Jessica Quint, has been making art as long as she can remember and has been teaching art classes for five years. She has a love for most media, however, her passion is metalsmithing. In her free time you can find her in the studio creating art in acrylics, alcohol inks, watercolor, mixed media, and jewelry. She is a graduate from Sandhills Community College, in Southern Pines, NC and has recently made Boone her home. Jessica enjoys her work and the discovery of new art media at Cheap Joes Art Supply in Boone.
